This Gorilla Tracking Tour takes you to Lake Mburo National Park for game drive and a boat ride on the Lake in search for wildlife then to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for gorilla trekking, to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel and game drive and then to Kibale National Park for chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi Wetland walk and thereafter drive back to Entebbe for your flight out.

8 Day Gorilla Tracking Tour Summery

Day one: Pickup from Hotel and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park for game

drive and boat ride on the Lake.

Day two: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Day three: Gorilla tracking

Day four: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an evening game drive.

Day five: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga Channel

Day six: Morning game drive and transfer to Kibale National Park.

Day Seven: Chimp trekking and Bigodi Wetland walk.

Day Eight: Transfer back to Kampala / Entebbe.

 

 

 

 

 

Day 01: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport.

After breakfast, our guide will drive to Lake Mburo National Park through the small towns of Uganda. Make a stopover at the Equator line for photograph and some informative talks and experiments. Enjoy an en route game drive as you drive to your lodge \ hotel for check in and lunch. After lunch you will have a boat on the lake in search for hippos, Crocodiles and water birds among others.

Destination: Lake Mburo National Park.

Day 02: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

After breakfast, enjoy an en route game drive through Lake Mburo National Park and then Proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park - Ruhija Section located in South Western Uganda. This journey takes you through the igongo cultural centre, green rolling hills of Uganda with banana and tea plantations and good scenic views. Lunch will be served en route and you will arrive in Bwindi in the evening.

 

Destination: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.  

Accomodation: Ruhija Gorilla Lodge (4 star), Broadhill Forest camp (3 star) 

Meal plan: lunch and dinner.

Drinks: Bottled Water.

Day 03: Gorilla Tracking Day.

Early morning, breakfast with your packed lunch, the driver will take you to Ruhija section Park headquarters for registration and join other trackers in a briefing about the dos and the don’ts during your Gorilla Tracking at 7:45 am. You will trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the Gorillas, which can take you half an hour to three quarters of the day. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. It is an extraordinary feeling being with these beautiful yet endangered Creatures.

 

Destination: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.  

Accomodation: Ruhija Gorilla Lodge (4 star), Broadhill Forest camp (3 star) 

Meal plan: lunch and dinner.

Drinks: Bottled Water.

Day 04: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

This morning you will depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, be prepared for some incredible scenery along the way. You will arrive in time for Lunch at the lodge and an evening game drive in the plains of Kasenyi in search for savannah wildlife that may include herds of buffaloes, antelopes, elephants and if lucky, some wild cats such as lions and leopard.

Day 05: Morning Game drive and afternoon boat on Kazinga Channel.

This morning you will head to back to the plains of Kasenyi for the early morning game drive to try to find what could have missed the previous day. Lunch will be served at the lodge and after you will head to the kazinga channel for the afternoon boat cruise. This cruise offers you chances of viewing animals like: hippos, water birds, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles and many other wildlife which flop the channel for drinking water.

Day 06: Morning game drive and transfer to Kibale National Park

After an early breakfast drive to the northern bank of Queen Elizabeth National Park (kasenyi) area in searches the wild animals which include: Elephants, Buffalos, and the wild cats, Savanna birds and different species of antelopes such water buck Uganda kobs among others. After lunch you will drive to Kibale Forest National Park arriving at your lodge in the evening.

 

Destination: Kibale Forest National park.  

Accomodation: Primate Lodge, Bush lodge, Chimp nest camp

Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Drinks: Bottled Water.

Day 07: Chimp Tracking.

This morning after breakfast you will drive to the park headquarters to join other trackers for a briefing and after you will be taken for chimpanzee tracking through Kibale Forest National Park. Kibale Forest National Park contains about 70 mammals specifies including 13 species of primate such as mangabey monkeys, olive baboon monkey, Blue monkeys, Black and white Colobus monkeys, Red colobus monkeys, L’Hoests’ monkeys, Red tailed monkeys, the grey vervet monkey and chimpanzees. The forest is a natural environment much like the western Africa lowlands forests as well as Afro-Montana.  Other than primates you will find 351 shrubs plus tree species, butterflies, 375 bird species as well as other mammals.

During this walk you will have chances of seeing many of the 13 primate species native to Kibale Forest National Park. After lunch you will drive to Bigodi for a swamp walk. This wetland belongs to community neighboring the park.

Day 08: Departure

This morning after breakfast you will be transferred to back to Kampala\ Entebbe International Airport for your next flight out.
