Safari Overview

The 7 Days Murchison Falls, Queen Elizabeth NP and Kibale Forest Safari is an exciting African primate and Savannah Safari that gives you the experience of meeting famous Africa wildlife, like  lion, leopard, giraffes and the African elephant, in person. The sight and sound of the falls as the Mighty Nile River crashes through a 7-meter gorge before tumbling 40 meters down in a thunderous explosion makes a memorable assault on the senses and immediately turns into a very peaceful river whose water banks are swarmed with a profusion of water and land animals as well as birds. You will enjoy a memorable game drive, a boat cruise, and mesmerizing scenery.

Track the Chimpanzees in Kibale Forest - the city of chimps and take on a nature walk to bidogo swamp. Enjoy the game drives and boat ride in Queen Elizabeth National park.

Day by Day - Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

You will have an early breakfast and start your Murchison Falls safari (Africa ‘Big 5’ Tour) with the drive to Murchison Falls National Park passing through beautiful woodlands and Savannah grasslands.
Before you get to Murchison Falls where you’ll have your dinner, we’ll stop over at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary the track, and view the first of the Big 5 game, the White Rhinos. Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary takes care of some of the last remaining endangered Rhinos in the world. This part of the Murchison Falls Safari (Africa ‘Big 5’ Tour) will give your the first chills. After tracking the Rhinos, will head to Murchison Falls with a lunch stopover at Kabalega Dinners.

Day 2: Game Drives and Boat Safari

You will wake up very early and set off at 6.30 am for a sunrise game drive in the Nyamsika plateau to see the Cape buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, Uganda kob, hartebeest, and waterbucks. You may also spot oribi, bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, shy sitatunga, bush duiker, warthog, and bush pig plus large carnivores including lions, leopards, and spotted hyenas. Chimpanzees and olive baboons head the list of six species of primates found in the park. Crocodiles and hippos will be seen along the banks of the Nile. Some of the more common birds that can be seen include goliath heron, Egyptian geese, pelican, bee-eaters, kingfishers, hornbill, cormorant, saddle-bill stork, and the rare shoebill stork.
You will return to your lodge for a late breakfast and some relaxation before setting off in the afternoon for a boat cruise on the placid Victoria Nile, upstream, to the base of the falls. En route, you will see hippos, crocodiles, waterbuck, and a wide variety of birds including the unusual shoebill stork. The boat stops just tens of meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron” for pictures to be taken of the photogenic and majestic Murchison Falls. Hike to the top of the falls for the specular views of the most powerful African Falls, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After the morning breakfast, will check out of the hotel/lodge and head to Kibale Forest in Western Uganda. On your way, you will enjoy some scenic views of the Mt. Rwenzori ranges, crater lake views. 

Destination: Kibale Forest National Park.

After the early morning breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for the briefing about the chimpanzee trekking Dos and Don'ts.You will then begin your guided chimpanzee trekking.

After locating the chimpanzees, you will be allowed to spend one hour with the primates however for chimpanzee habituation, you can even spend a full day.During this walk you will have chances of seeing many of the 13 primate species native to Kibale Forest National Park. After lunch you will drive to Bigodi for a swamp walk. This wetland belongs to community neighboring the park.

Day 6: Game drives and boat ride

he day begins early with early morning breakfast then set off for an early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile makes visitors encounter excellent opportunities to see Lions, Leopards, Giant Forest Hogs, Cape Buffaloes, Elephants, Defassa Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, Topi and Bush bucks and many more. Return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch, after lunch enjoy the boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George with abundant bird life will be sighted, elephants, buffaloes and hundreds of hippos that are cooling off at the shores and this launch cruise will be one of the highlights of your Uganda wildlife safari to Queen Elizabeth. Dinner and over night
